Hi all, i had a 3.8ghz overclock that was prime stable for 8 hours so i ran intel burn test and it failed, so i then reset the bios back to default settings and ran intel burn test again and it still failed is something wrong with my pc or is it just a fault with intel burn test? Im running windows 7 RC1 (64bit)my specs are:i7 920gigabyte EX58-UD3R6gb OCZ gold 1333Mhz600watt OCZ stealthxstreamOperating system:- Windows 7 (64bit)EDIT: forgot to say it seems to fail when it finish's the second test no matter what settings i use, default or overclock. Well i just ran prime for 8 hours and my max temp was 75.c and thats at a 3.8ghz overclock my vcore voltage is 1.28 which is rahter low i think, and when i set everything to stock i idle around 30 - 34c with a max of 62 - 69c. I have ran OCCT for 2 hours and passed and now prime95 for 8 hours and passed.

Just wierd that IBT fails at the same point even on stock:s tommorow im going to run the linpack test built into OCCT and see if it pass's that. If it does surley its a problem with IBT and not my pc?EDIT: i have never ran my processor higher then 1.3vcore. Click to expand.Additional: If the above doesn’t sort your problem out -Also, bear in mind that it may not be a fault per se - more that IntelBurnTest is stressing a combination of BIOS settings that are not compatible with that particular test.

And, with that in mind, the problem may never manifest itself in other programs.IntelBurnTest is very aggressive and none of your games or applications will even come close to achieving the amount of stress that this app applies to the cpu. You’ve stated everything else runs fine - prime95, memtest, orthos – and lots of people would have passed their system as stable after that little lot.I would relax and enjoy your system for while – use and abuse it with games and apps, if it remains stable then it very likely is.
